HOW TO REMOVE COB WEBS
Share
This HOW TO REMOVE COB WEBS video post is part of our Tuesday Two Tip series. If you don't have one of these COB WEB DUSTERS, you really need to get one! They are very handy and will save a lot of time on the job. It will save you from ending up with a big mess on your hands that will require even more cleaning effort. We use it to dust doors, windows and wall areas surrounding entry ways into buildings. In essence, there really isn't much organic staining around entry ways. And at the 4:15 time stamp, I explain in detail the process we follow for these critical areas that are visible to everyone using the facility.
MANY USES
We use it for light fixtures, signage, ceiling fans, speakers, cameras and more. It comes in very handy for banks for drive through lanes, deposit canisters, atm machines and night depositories. And we also wipe down these areas as well before using water. When you try to remove cob webs with water and/or bleach, you end up with a bigger mess on your ends. One important caution on how to remove cob webs with these dusters is DO NOT GET THEM WET! We provide video footage using the cob web dusters at the 5:40 time stamp. And it's good to have a back up! They attach to any threaded pole, and I strongly recommend using these before you begin cleaning with water.
BLEACH OVERSPRAY
A second tip in this video at the 8:00 time stamp involves the dreaded bleach overspray. Sometimes wind can carry bleach to surface areas you are trying to avoid. In fact, sometimes you don't even know when it is happening. We encounter this issue and explain that using our RAP at 15:1 ratio, we were able to wipe it right off.
